M16 Phase 2
Specialized Logistics Execution for Ultra-Low-Temperature Cold Boxes – SK Hynix M16 Phase 2, Icheon Campus
Successfully managed the import and site delivery of ultra-low-temperature cold boxes for the SK Hynix M16 Phase 2 expansion project in Icheon.
As critical equipment for semiconductor production, the cold boxes were sourced internationally and transported under strict handling protocols, marking a high-difficulty logistics case involving oversized, high-precision cargo.
Project Summary
The SK Hynix M16 Phase 2 project is a major facility expansion initiative at the Icheon Campus, aimed at increasing semiconductor production capacity.A critical part of this expansion involved the import and transportation of cold boxes, which ensure a stable supply of ultra-low-temperature gases required for semiconductor processing — making this a highly specialized, precision logistics operation.
Scope of Execution
International departure, followed by ocean transport and customs clearance at a domestic Korean port
CFS handling and inland transport to the M16 construction site in Icheon via specialized trailers
Full support for route assessment, road inspection and permits, traffic control, and on-site unloading operations
As cold boxes are high-value equipment that are extremely sensitive to vibration and temperature fluctuations, the project demanded rigorous end-to-end logistics control.Through the successful execution of this project, we demonstrated our capability to manage the full logistics lifecycle—from global sourcing to final site delivery—for high-precision semiconductor equipment. This operation played a key role in supporting SK Hynix’s production capacity expansion with both reliability and technical excellence.
